Power/torque Figures

Recommended Posts

Was just wondering what kind of power and torque I would expect to acheive when I've finished my engine build?

The spec will be 1.9 Mi rebuilt with new piston rings and bearings etc, 3 angle valve seats, Weber 45s, MegaJolt mapped ignition and fast road/rally inlet cam (not sure which one to go for yet).

In 2 minds whether to fit ARP rod bolts. Is the standard bottom end ok to around 7500ish?

Cheers :)

Maybe 161hp. There's too many variarables in your spec. Compression and valve timing being the most important.

The std. rod bolts are fine for up to 7500. After all, the Mi16x4 has a 7400 rev limit.

Miles

I would use uprated bolt's without fail, When you see inside a broken one there's not allot holding them together. One of mine broke at 5000rpm, OK the engine was a quick build race engine which produced more than I was expecting and maxed at 8500rpm
