Release Bearing Not Engaging?

so i am getting this 205 gti6 soon with a problem the guy said the gearbox went pop so he has put a recon be1 on the xu10jrs with a mi16 clutch but when you push the clutch lever with your hand it go's all the way and the release bearing just started to touch the pressure plate but does not engage?? i will rip it apart when i get it just thought some one on here might know whats up any ideas?

Likely to be the wrong clutch arm and fork.

 

Don't tell him that, worst case scenario that's £66 from pug. I got one recently from scrapyard for £5.

If it's BE1, has he missed out the pin that goes between the clutch fork and the quadrant arm? If he has, then you'll never get sufficient clutch activation.
