The Turbo Conversion

Hi Team

Havent been on here in a while as I used to own a few Pugs and now after another one

 

What it is I'm after a 1.9 gti BUT

 

I will eventually want to turbo it

I know many moons ago I think it was turbo technics I think who used to do a full turbo conversion but are any places still doing the low boost conversion to the 1.9 engine? or can it be done at home with abit of knowledge using google and using alot of mix and match items from other cars?

Have a search for my "XU5T" thread, done on a 1600 but the same principles would apply to a 1900.

I think the majority of turbo conversions are home built these days. I can't advise you on the build though unfortunately.

isnt henrys just a low comp gti with 2.0 turbo bits bolted on.??

I take it thats a low comp 1900???

 

How does that go with it being turbo'd??
