Mi16 Compression

hi folks, whats the standard cr on a 1.9 mi16 and what numbers should i have on each cylinder on my compression test. , trying to elimanate some problems before i rip the engine out altogether.

standard compression ratio on a D6C is 10.4-1, compression figures on a healthy one can be anything from 180 to 220, though its not really the actual figure, but any disparity between cylinders you need to look out for, unless the figure is obviously low.

 

reason for this is that unless you buy a very expensive calibrated gauge you can't go from the figures given.

10.4:1 assuming it's a D6C XU9J4 (160hp non-CAT)

 

I'd expect something in the 190-210psi region for a healthy engine, with equalish compression on all four cylinders.

yeah its the bx 16v non cat engine . will check it over tommorrow. im so pist off with the car not starting now.
