Eratic/uneven Idle.

So I've cleaned AFM and changed SAD. Still very eratic, even when hot, say, after pulling up at lights. Revs at nearly 2 thou' very much up and down. When I'm running on Headlights, the dash lights show almost rhythmic up and down in brightness also. Do I now have the car "tuned" to get this sorted? Are the lights and idle symptoms connected?.

Clean out the throttle body paying particular attention to the idle bypass air drilllings. This usually helps a great deal. Also check carefully for air leaks.

To do it properly you need to remove it from the inlet manifold really, easy enough job though only three nuts the pipes and the cable to remove.
