Gti6/xu10J4Rs Thermostat Housing Gasket

Where to get one!? Changing the thermostat and I've manged to disturb the gasket that sits between the sensor/thermostat hosuing and the cylinder head. I ordered one from Peugeot yesterday then they say they don't make them anymore today, brilliant.

 

Is it a simple enough gasket to make from gasket paper? Gasket sealant? (<rather not)

Just put the part number into google and found this, any one have experience of it?

They were certainly available a few months back, and it is still showing as available on Servicebox.

 

Part number 134033 which is £3.43 inc VAT.

 

Otherwise, a decent RTV sealant will suffice I would have thought as that's all I usually use on 8v/Mi16 thermostat housings along with most other gasket faces. If you get stuck, Loctite 5910 sold in Halfords seems to work well and I've used that when I've not had my usual stuff to hand.

I've used wellseal on a few without any issues, its better for metal to metal joints

i used some gasket paper cut to fit and red instant gasket too just to make sure.

That part number is 100% still available, i just checked it. Even in stock at Tile Hill. Another case of a lying parts dept.

I got one several months ago. I have a few spare gaskets, but pretty sure I don't have one of those.
