S16 Bike Carbs

Hi there

 

Im looking to do a bike carb conversion on my 306 s16(xu10j4). I know what i need to do on the mounting and fueling side of things but im not to sure on the ignition. The s16 uses 4 coil packs and is run off of the ecu. Can i use the mi16 setup? if so how would i wire up the main coil pack? Or can i just leave standard setup and just use the ecu .

any help would be apreciated

You would have to use a aftermarket ecu to control the ignition, providing you are using the bike bodies as carbs and not throttle bodies

is there no way of using a dizzy then. i will be using bike carbs not bodies. i dont realy want to go down the megajolt route.

You can use a Dizzy, but it's allot of work

 

1. 1.9 Mi16 inlet Cam

2. 1.9 Mi16 Stat Housing

3. Mod water pipes to suit

4. 1.9 Mi16 Dizzy Adaptor & Leads

 

If you leave the S16 loom in place the OE fuel pump will still work as it would on injection
