Gti-6 And Vts Phase 1 Gear Box Differences?

Hi All, I am looking to change out my GTi-6 box from my 205 as the steering lock has finaly done my head in! and the MOT man keeps threatening to fail it if I dont put some rack stops on to stop it rubbing.

 

Someone localy is selling a phase 1 Xsara VTS box - will this just swap straight over or will the linkage or any of the clutch/flywheel need to change?

You need to swap whatever clutch mechanism you have on the gti6 box, and the top gear linkage arm.

Cheers, so when you say swap, you mean I need to take off these parts from the gti6 box and transfer them onto the VTS box?
