Guest justin85 Posted October 9, 2003 Okay. Want to pull the gear knob off the shaft. Do they just pull off or is there a technique I am missing? I do not want to put a barry boy gear knob on btw, just the one I saved from my Rallye. TFYH, Justin
pug_ham 245 3 Cars Posted October 9, 2003 On a Be3 gearstick, simply grab, twist & pull. They are a tight fit but if you aren't going to re-use it get a pair of mole grips on to make it easier. Not sure on a BE1 but probably a similar style to get them off. Graham.
Guest j_turnell Posted October 9, 2003 Yeah m8 basically pull very hard and twist at the same time and it should come straight off.
