Carbon Canister Valve On Gti 6 (By Pass?)

Hi,

 

I have a brown plug near the cam cover on my gti6 lom, I believe its the - Carbon Canister vave?

 

If I leave this unplugged will it throw a ecu light?

 

Should I plug something into it? Miles mentioned a resistor but after a search I cant find what I need.

ask miles on the resistor, it wont bring the light on but will log a code.

 

you'll need to blank off the pipe on the front of the throttle body.
