Short Shifter...where Does It Go?

I recently bought this from a seller on here but I don't know where it goes neither does he, can anyone help me?

On the longer side of the L-shaped gear pivot/linkage, basically extending it and shortening the throw.

Forgive me for sounding stupid but is this the one on the subframe or under the gear stick?
