Misfit And Random Plug.

Recommended Posts

Gabba

Well just replaced the ? shape hose which split, and refilled the coolant system.

Before this the car was running fine. Now at below 4k rev's the car seems to have a misfire, is very chuggy, and hesistants.

I'm not sure what causes this i'm guessing its something to do with the ignition system, ie HT leads, dizzy, coil etc.

but where is best to start trying to diagnos the problem?

Also i seem to have a plug that i don't know where it goes?

That's nothing to worry about, its the crank sensor for use with the peugeot diagnostics / tuning equipment.

Many will be either dead by now due to melted wires or removed because they aren't used.

Misfire could be just damp in the dizzy but what condition are the HT leads, dizzy cap & rotor arm in?

cheers.

any idea why it would be misfiring now when it wasn't before the coolant issue?

the fact it disappears above 4k, would that suggest some sort of air leak?

Its been sat unusd & moisture has built up during this time due to weather conditions.

An air leak wouldn't magically disappear at 4k imo so its something else you've disturbed whilst doing the coolant hose.

Did you sppill water on the dizzy field plug that sits near the expansion tank?
