My 205 Gentry Automatic

Hello everyone. I am very happy to be here, and I proudly present You one of my two 205's. The 205 Gentry Automatic.

The story behind the car is quite romantic. I found it last year (september 2010) on www.ebaymotors.de. It didn't looke promising on the pictures, but there was one thing about it, that turned my attention- its mileage. It was extremely low - 66 000 kilometers!

At that time I was also driving a 205 Gentry, I also bought a CTI, so my finances were really bad, so I shared my discovery with my friends on 205 polish forum. Luckily one of the 205 Poland club members decided to buy the car. He won the auction, and brought the car to Poland. He changed the brake pads, discs, distribution, water pump, oil, and filters.

Some time later I saw the car, when he popped up at our 205 owners meeting. It was a love at first sight - the Gentry looked a million times better than on the pictures on ebaymotors. When I saw the car my first impression was, that it was sent to me straight from the 90's using the time capsule :)

The interior was (and still is) in the perfect condition. The leather on the steering wheel is still a little bit "grainy" also the seats are looks like new. Quite strange, but they are supposed to be made from stiffer leather, than in my previous 205's

On january 2011 I sold my first 205 Gentry with manual transmission, and I finally made up my mind: The perfect Gentry will be mine. 5 weeks ago I was driving the car home from the car registeration office with the almost individual plates KR 205PE. The car had 69 999 kilometers on its indicator.

I cannot call this a project, because I bought the 100% original 205 Gentry. Actually, there's nothing I can change or replace, because there is no need to do so. I only changed the temperature sensor, and replaced the exhaust, because after 20 years it became a little bit rusty.

For the summertime I only swapped the wheels for the Speedline PTS SL434. It looks a lot more aggressive :)

That's enough of writing. Now take a look at some pictures...
