the R888 I meant as having softer sidewalls, strange the listings :lol:

Ahh right i see sorry, i was confused considering you said 'road tyres' thought you meant the AD08's. But 888's are List 1A competition tyre, but is basically still a road carcass like alot of these tyres probably hence the sidewalls, i agree they are are soft!

So are the ad08s classed as a road tyre ?

I assume these could be ideal for what I'm looking for ?

I've had a look on the net for these stunner tyres but haven't come across much. Then can be had £45 a corner though.

Yup, AD08's are road tyre but if anything look almost like a road legal semi-slick with large tread blocks etc so yes probably ideal.

Excellent thanks for that.

What's the tread depth on these from new. Is it much the same as 888s ?

I'm not sure i'm afraid, but i'd hazard guess that of normal road tyres if not a little less like V700's etc maybe.

Just remembered a guy i know did this review on road-legal semi's last year which may come in handy for some, his Golf isn't massively dis-similar to 205's;

Well I bit the bullit today and ordered myself 4 ad08s (195/50/15)

£335 fitted so hopefully they will do what I'm looking for.

These will be going on my C5 wheels so should be a bit lighter than my old SMR alloys.

Thanks alot for all the input and pointing me in the right direction.

Cheers

Ad08's are popular choice for road tyres on the saloons at combe

Have a look at the federal track tyres, come with like full road tread depth but have a track day tyre compound/design
