Possibility Of Lowering Rear Seatbelt?

Recommended Posts

jason7579

When I put the baby seat in the back of my 205 I find that where the belt is attached to the body of the car (the lower part) it is still higher than most cars and this allows the baby seat to move around a little. If the seat belt was bolted in a bit lower so that it went over the rear seat rather than above it the baby seat would be much more secure but would this be a safe thing to do? I need some welding done on a couple of small holes so I would be thinking of asking them to do it then.

Sorry for not explaining this very well but I hope you get the idea.

I took the seatbelt from the other side when fixing the babyseat on the rear bench of the 205.

You are right otherwise there would be too much play.
