Squeaky Wipers

Recommended Posts

swordfish210

One of my pet hates on a car is having squeaky wipers so i was dismayed to learn today while driving home in the rain that the wipers on my Volvo squeal like a stuck pig. Are there any good cures that i can try before i start pulling my hair out, the wipers are fairly new so it's not a case of fitting fresh ones

I to find that grating,

I am unsure if there is any way to stop it, I find it happens when there is not much rain on the screen but just enough for me to want to wipe it.

Are they good quality wipers, I have bosh ones.

Did once have market stall specials for £1, they both squeaked and smeared

Yeah they're decent Bosch ones. I'll give the windscreen a going over but it looks OK

Clean the blades themselves, specifically the rubber, with glass cleaner and soft paper towel. You will most likely be amazed the amount of black crap that comes off them.

If you drink lots of apple tizer and urinate on your wipers i hear it solves the problem completely
