The Ultimate Taxi - A 205!

I was on holiday recently in Morocco, I was delighted to see that there are two cars that make up 90% of all the taxis, they are either old Merc's or 205's (all 5 doors in this beige colour).

Its weird how certain countries have such a reliance on random cars, if you are ever lucky enough to go to Iran EVERYONE has a Peugeot 405 or a Peugeot Persia (a facelifted 405, but not a 406), people with yamaha motorbikes even stuck peugeot badges over their yamaha badges...

im sure pug sold the 405 production line to india years ago and thats why there is so many, all recent purchases

You'd never get permission for a car that small to be used as a taxi here.

 

I'd love to use my pug as my cab, maybe not add roomy as the fiat scudo that I drive but would be much better at cutting through traffic.
