why did they add the fees to the site? i cant even reply to project threads or add my own pictures etc unless i pay the fees? i will pay the fees but i am sure a lot of people wont pay them out of principle therefore they will lose members, the members are the reason the forum keeps going, rant over ha ha

Yeah, they shouldn't have applied it retroactively, for old active topics .

I agree with people of how it has changed.

I won't be paying until the problems are ironed out.

Won't be paying at all and with the Forum looking the same even more reason not too, Shame as they are losing out but why should I pay to hand out advise, seem's odd to me.

A lot of people feel the same. I went on there last night and saw a few technical threads on there that I could have helped with, yet wasn't able to post in them.

They will lose a lot of knowledge on there. I think they are auto deleting threads that have been inactive for more than a year, unless it's an FAQ. So some peoples comprehensive project threads etc will be lost unless they bump it up. Searching won't be effective, and the knowledgeable people will be paying to repeat themselves anually.

i wont be paying, seems like a good way of letting for forum go to pot.

i understand why they have done it tho. maybe it would of been better to have donations like on here or have non paying memebers NOT being able to view the FAQ

I was a bit miffed with the annual fee, I thought it was a pay once thing.

I can see them losing a lot of members

They survived for the best part of 8,10 years or however by providing the community (which, to be fair they shouldn't have). I understand hosting and everything costs money, but the membership levels aren't well thought. £20 over £10 to have extra PM's.

Should have been a one off thing, would have made enough.

I will be paying though as I trade a lot on there.

There is no way I would pay to post on there, they havn't really updated it at all, still no clickys, still looks the same, still broken half the time, there is far better info on here imo.

I can understand paying for PSOOC as you get a mag etc but what are you paying £20 for on 306 gti6? madness if you ask me.

To be fair the fact it looks the same is a good thing. It is very easy to navigate and find what you need.
