Hi all

what sort of wire is used in looms? ive found some 12v 16A 1mm stuff but would this be any good to repair sections of the loom and wire up speakers?

heres a link to it

thanks

Jim

1mm sounds thin for 16A, but if they say its rated at that and they're reputable, who am I to argue. I'd expect it to be fine for anything up to 16A. The only thing it doesn't say is how oil resistant it is - so I might be wary of using it under the bonnet...

I used thinwall cable from Vehicle Wiring products for my loom.

That eBay advert sounds fine, but you do need to choose your cable based on what ampage you expect to be passing through each cable. Have a look at the VWP site as it may work out cheaper if you don't specifically need 30 metres worth
