1.6 Running Like Crap...

Hello All

 

I've just come in from tinkering with my 1.6 as it was overfueling like mad, misfiring and unable to idle. I had a good check over of most things and they all seemed ok. When I came to check the air flow meter I found the flap inside to be stuck wide open, I pushed it and it closed back up and now opens and closes with no problems. I checked the inside and it was kinda clean so I have no idea why it was stuck open? I tried to get it to do it again but couldn't. Anyone else had this? Is this a sign it's on its way out?

Sounds to me like it is on way out as it should not stick open like that.

I think I have a spare 1.6 one in garage will look tomorrow,you can have it for postage cost if you want it?
