Artemide 1 Posted April 26, 2011 Hi, As it usually is, everyone brakes smth, modifies and so on, and the result is this: I have the steering wheel on the left side, and under the left side on the car such things can be found. What are they and is it ok if nr2 is not connected. What is this brace for( on the left) ? Also many hoses are either cut off on retransfered or smth. Where does nr3 connect to? Where does nr4 go? Nr5? Also got some plugs, what are they for?
smithy 1 Posted April 26, 2011 cannot make out the other pictures but nr3 on throttle body is for engine breathers there should be a pipe connecting nr3 to nr4.unless nr3 has been blanked off the engine will be sucking in un metered air. nr5 is normally the coolant feed to throttle body but it is fairly common to do away with them and link direct to expansion bottle. as for nr1 and nr2 maybe activated carbon canistor or something, what year is the car?????? ott 0 Posted May 8, 2011 I assume its an XU9JAZ engine in LHD car? Bracket in 2nd picture should be for charcoal canister in fuel vapor capture system. Includes canister, solenoid valve and lots of pipes Piping is probably leftover from removal. Haven't really looked into it, but mine was replaced years ago to fix crappy idle (maybe solenoid valve was replaced as well, cant remember exactly). PS! Glad to see another estonian pug fan here
