Standard Mounts On 406 To 205 Conversion

Does anyone know if its possible to use the standard top engine mount for the 406, to mount the engine into my gti? Its quite a bulky item (7kg) so i'll probly machine the un-nessary (power steering) bracketry off. Or do i need an mi16 or s16 top mount? do these mounts, move the position of the engine, or simply save weight/space??
