Car Wont Idle

hi all I have a 1.6 gti and it wont idle when hot or cold Im not sure if its a coincidence but it happened ever since i fitted a set of baker pipes. I ve double checked everything is tight and i have not disturbed anything every thing seems fine. the car drives perfect hot and cold but just wont idle. Any ideas cheers Richard
