Stupid Question Of The Day: Windmirror Adhesive Recomendation

Like the clumsy retard I am I managed to knock the rear view mirror and it fell off.

Looking for recomendations please for adhesive that will do the job well and preferably uber fast drying.

Not fast drying but tigerseal works well.

There are plenty of kits out there to do it yourself.

 

My rear view mirror was in the footwell when I bought the car. I just went to a local car parts shop and asked them, they only had one product there and it worked fine.

 

I think you can buy double sided tape patches to stick them up with but I would recommend the glue, only as that is what I used and the mirror is still on having been abused by the back of my head several times

 

Just make sure the screen is really clean first, maybe rub some white spirit on there then wipe it off so that you know the glue is sticking to the glass and not someone's greasy hand print.

 

All the glue products you can buy will be solvent based and will dry within seconds. Remember, you'll have to hold the little mirror mount to the window whilst the stuff dries.

P.S. You've titled this post "windmirror", I think you've got confused. Wing-mirrors are the ones outside the car and a rear-view mirror is the one inside, never heard of a windmirror.

get the kit with the small piece of mesh in it along with the adhesive.

I used Loctite glue and activator from my mate who does screens for a living.

 

I cant get the bloody thing off now! Made fitting my sunstrip tint intresting
