EdCherry 34 1 Cars Posted January 21, 2011 (edited) Right, after a search I cannot find a definitive answer, maybe this can settle it once and for all? Probably welshpug's realm of knowledge... I have the 2 front brackets and the 2 brackets that are in the inner archs for bolting the front bumper on to. I have nothing else and need to mount the bumper on the car, what do I need? Once again same for the rear but I need the bracketery as well.. If someone could provide part numbers I would love you forever!! Daviewonder 533 3 Cars Posted January 22, 2011 (edited) I'm fitting my bumper at the moment, it's much more expensive that I thought it would be. This kit fits the bumper to the car, you need 2 of them- Click This kit has most fittings and bolts for fitting everything to the bumper + bumper securing bolts but no rubber bushes or brackets- Click There are also 2 brace bars needed too. SurGie 54 Posted January 22, 2011 I have recently bought a front set from Peugeot and are cheaper than that e-bay seller. 6936c6 washer-nut 2 693509 nut with base 4 (These are for the bumper bolts if the bolts package dont have them that is) 692493 capscrew 2 (All this lot is needed for the whole front bumper set excluding the 4 front bumper bolts) 742716 F/bumper buff 2 742624 fixing spacer 2 741606 bumper slide 2 All this lot cost me £36.33 @ 17.5 % VAT, so it will be more now its set @ 20% VAT. This lot do not include the front bumper bolts, the bumper bolts are part of a package around £25 from Pug, its the one from the second e-bay link above, buy them from Pug they are exactly the same and are cheaper. The part number for this box package of clips and front bumper bolts is 699453, its number 13 on the service box front bumper page BTW. Iv not got round to the rear set yet. Hope this helps. sceptre 0 Posted January 23, 2011 I just used an angle-grinder to make a large washer into a rectangle that fitted into the indent of the bumper. Then just put a large bolt through it and painted it black. That way you can remove it again with less damage to the bumper, I'm not a fan of those silly little rectangle caps. All the spacers etc can be got from a scrappy. Whatever you chose to use, make sure you go way over the top with the grease, it will be impossible to take off again after a week whatever you use!!!!! Obey_R 23 Posted January 23, 2011 I just ordered 4 of the short bumper bolts - with a bit of bending and shuffling around you can bolt the bumper, through the wing onto the metal support bar doing away with all of the other bits
EdCherry 34 1 Cars Posted March 28, 2011 Bring this topic back to life as Ive been slacking. Never got round to buying these bits but for some confirmation on the rear as I never actually put trim on or took it off. So for clarification I need: Front bumper fitting + Red trim + valance fitting: 2x 6936C6 - Washer Nut 4x 693509 - Nut with Base 2x 692493 - Capscrew 2x 742716 - Front Bumper Buffer 2x 942624 - Fixing Spacer 2x 741696 - Bumper Slides 1x 699453 - Bumper Fixing Set Rear bumper + Red trim + valance fitting: 1x 741550 - Counter Leaf (The only bracket I dont have) 2x 742626 - Fixing Spacer 2x 742710 - F/Bumper Buffer 7x 693509 - Nut with Base 2x 694662 - Plain Washer 2x 694834 - Plain Washer 2x 694765 - Rubber Washer 1x 6925T6 - Screw CBLX RDL 2x 742721 - Buffer Rear bumper wise, 742721 says it is NFP. Also the T bar studs that go through the bumper, what ones do I need of them? Is there any kits for the rear? Would love to order this up for tomorrow so I could get fitting it next week. EdCherry 34 1 Cars Posted October 3, 2011 Bumping again, its been ages but still haven't fitted the bumpers up. Can anyone confirm the part numbers I've listed is what I need?
Mark Greenwood 0 Posted October 3, 2011 a dealer will have (should have) exploded diagrams with all the numbers mate, give them a visit.. ;-)
EdCherry 34 1 Cars Posted October 3, 2011 Since my nearest dealer is a fair few miles, and most of them wont go to the bother for 205's these days its alot easier to use the experience and knowledge of forum members for these things. Got access to the exploded diagrams, its not always clear on quantities needed or even part numbers.
SurGie 54 Posted October 4, 2011 (edited) The ones i posted are correct, its just the back set i dont have. Try joining service box for them, quite easy, then print it up.I have a copy of the diagram of them all and found it very clear. Ask Pug to give you a copy of the good one, im sure they will, mine does Edited October 4, 2011 by SurGie
