edbar 6 Posted October 7, 2010 Would 205 Rallye arches fit on a 309? Seen a few with extensions wondered if the rallye ones have been done? Any help appreciated. Edd

edbar 6 Posted October 7, 2010 Forgot about that, looks like the ebay 5" wider jobs though. Thanks.
Cameron 16 Posted October 7, 2010 Yeah those definitely aren't Rallye arches! I reckon it could look pretty cool, you'll need to remove the door trims etc though.
Henry Yorke 269 3 Cars Posted October 7, 2010 The 309 sits a lot squatter at the back than a 205 so I would check how much there is to cut away on the rear arch and how bigger job it is to box it all back in. Al, try some arches off a Defender 90! Though most people go for group 4 Escort ones (Monte Carlo spec is the widest) as they are readily available and just pop rivet on

Stevo309 0 Posted October 8, 2010 (edited) You could consider the Milano 309 arches from Ecosse. They have rivet holes which would be easily filled before painting and they're similar to 205 Rallye arches i would say without the hassle of making the 205 ones fit? Henry Yorke 269 3 Cars Posted October 8, 2010 Good thinking Steve. I remember that car from PSC national conventions of old but can't find a pic
edbar 6 Posted October 9, 2010 Those milano arches stop at the trim running along the car ang I am removing that. Think it will be the ebay rallye jobbies.
Henry Yorke 269 3 Cars Posted October 9, 2010 The ebay ones are contoured to fit the side profile of a 205 so may require some trimming to suit a 309 as I think the swage lines are in different places. I still think there will be metal off the back arch if they are for running wider wheels

I still think there will be metal off the back arch if they are for running wider wheels Swage lines on the doors (205 v's 309) are in the same place, but the holes for the trim (and I guess therefore the trim itself) sit at a different height.
