Engine Wiring Tu3s Help

Recommended Posts

aymen_a22

I just did the head gasket on my TU3s and have found a redundant wire near the distributor. The wire is yellow and has * 32 * on the end of it, it is also positive with the engine running and the ignition on.

Does anyone know what this wire is for as everything seems to be running fine without it plugged in?

If it helps the wire comes out of the bulkhead with all the wires from the fuse box, and it loops round to the starter and alternator wiring loom.

Thanks in advance

The same wiring loon is used on a few different models I believe, so you will have a few useless wired knocking about in there, as long as every thing works assume its pointsless. Check inside the conector if its dirty or clean. Also there are one or two brown plugs in the engine bay which are diagnostics plugs, god knows what they are there for!
