Recommend A Rotary Buffer?

Recommended Posts

supersub14

My rotary buffer blew up there at the weekend (it was 15 years old afer all!) so im looking a new one. What do you recommend??

Lookin to get a half decent variable speed one as it gets a lot of use so thinking of spending £50-£100 approx. Last one cost me £200 at the time of purchase and served me well.

Been looking at the Sealy CLICK HERE

Any one used it??

Here is a good site for detailing info CLICKIEROO.

I bought a Clarke one from Machine Mart myself because ebay had rubbish when i wanted one, if that one was on ebay at the time else i would have got that one. Don't bother buying pads from there as they are harder to use than the thin type you can buy, the above site suggests the best pads to use.

Toolstation didnt have many to choose from unfortunately. Yeah im torn between the Silverline one at £40 and the Kestrel Sim180 at £60 :) Think im siding more towards the Kestrel one as it has a "lock on" switch. Going against my early Sealey choice as it has a pretty high rpm at its slowest speed.

I must add that that was a great forum to recommend SurGie!! Piles of info on it and a great help in choosing a buffer. Also recommended the right buffing pads and polish i should be using <_<
