Xu10j4r And Xu9ja (d6b) Help!

So sorry everyone if this has been answered before (couldnt find anything)

 

I wish to find out if the engine blocks are the same between the:

 

XU10J4R and XU9JA (d6b)

 

They do look simular in some pics I have seen from the top, can anyone shed some light on the matter.

the XU10J4R is a rusty old iron block.

 

the XU9JA is an alloy block, normally white with corrosion (or black with oil...)

 

one is 16v, the other 8 valve.
