Transmech V Valeo Clutch Kit

Looking on ECP to buy an Mi cluch kit, they've got the Transmech kit listed alongside the Valeo, is the valeo worth the extra £50?

IMO yes, I have fitted quite a few of the transmech and they seem VERY cheap quality, i.e they match the price (only fitted begrudgingly at the customers request)

 

I recently helped swap a clutch on a 306 TD as it was slipping, we found that the transmech clutch fitted elsewhere had a poorly pressed release bearing plate that jammed on the bellhousing

 

needless to say a LUK unit went in, was a Valeo friction plate in the box as it happens

 

 

Are they really £50 less? I thought Mi16 clutches were only £80 or so anyway?

just to reinforce what you have been told already transmech are cheap quality and no competition with a valeo unit .
