Oil Temp Sandwich Plate

Ive had a oil temp autogauge in my shed for months and im changing my 2lt turbo engine (406) for a new one does anyone know what size plate i need? I think i need a m20 but its the sender unit im worried about i dont know the size of it or are they all the same?
