Where To Put My Numberplate

Recommended Posts

Will Eastman

Hey one of the thing i need to get done on my car is the front number plate, as my one is knackerd and looks damn s**t.

Im lookng at buying either pressed metal plates or stick-on i think.

I dont know which yet as i dont know where im going to mount it. Help would be great.

Here are some options i like.

There's quite a few members cars there! Including mine!!

Put it in the standard position, trimmed to fit in the recess of the bumper. :)

If you really don't want to put the numberplate in the normal place (as per that fine looking white 205 on the right of the bottom picture :)) then the only other place I think that looks reasonable is a stick-on plate on the leading edge of the bonnet, as per Sarty's red 205 above.

I personally really don't like the numberplate on the bottom of the valance, but clearly, it's your car and you should choose what you like, and not what me or anyone else likes.

I have a stick on plate on the front of the bonnet at the moment but after a few years its beginning to look a bit tatty so i'm thinking of putting one on the bottom of the front valance.

Would one fit there without trimming?

Yeh sorry i kinda put them up without permission :) . Nice cars tho.

Yeh i know i do like it in the normal place, but cant exactly trim down if im wanting a metal one, which i think look cool.

Just thought somewhere else so it would look more racey i guess.

cheers for the response guys, good to hear other opinions

only bad thing about metal plates is it gives the fuzz a reason to pull you over and every one knows what pri**s they are.

lucky you in a month i was stopped 7 times for my plates hate the fuzz any excuse. so back to normal but they still insist on pulling me at least once a month to check every thing is insured(cu*ts) I mean its not as if you blend into the crowd with a stripped yellow 205 rallye with roll cage there just usless. get out there and catch some real criminals.

They're Traffic Police i.e. they enforce the law to do with vehicles. They have other branches of the Police to deal with other crimes.

Keep it in standard place or on bonnet, I used to have it on bottom of valance and it was swiftly removed. Didn't like it.

Or do a Baz and it accidently 'falls' off everyday, looks best in my opinion with no plate.

But again it's your plate, your choice.
