Painting Rocker Cover...

Recommended Posts

I used a 'wire brush' attachement on my electric drill which was quite effective.

Would this good/bad in any way ?

Isn't the 16v cover made from Magnesium? It's got to be coated in something else it will corrode to buggery & become unstable.

hmm, what if I kept it polished with a wax based polish ?

As far as I know, it should polish up with a bit of elbow grease ?!

Thanks. :D

I was thinking of putting a small Peugeot logo like the one below on it, but don't want to go to all the hassle of getting a graphic made up, so i'm thinking of making a template on the computer and then spraying it on with a blue aerosol. I'd probably cock it up though.

I think I'd go for a "GTi" logo :P

done the practise/temporary cover. This is what it looks like :

Sending mine to get sandblasted as soon as I find somewhere. Think I am going to leave it bare metal so that it protects itself (goes dull) and shine up just the 16v and laquer that.
