I'm sh*t scared of the things, have to build up the courage and make a dash to a part i want!!

More dead ones than living though tbf. Must have been at least 30 dead ones on the fan cowling.

Well, rather a large update.

She's home!

Shell is in really good nick, large hole in engine bay, scab above rear qtr window. Thats it.

Otherwise straight, solid and infested.

I'll leave the pictures to do the talking. Needless to say, muchos happy!

Hugely unlikely, A level exams start in 4 weeks, no money, no need for a second car and damn good scrap price mean unless someone wants this frankly great clean shell with a load of w@nk XE parts bolted on she's being scrapped!!

The before pictures make me feel itchy.

I agree, has to be back on the road. When people tell you it looks tidy for a G plate, you can say thanks very much, it used to be a bush.

Give me more than scrap value and treat yourself to a proper rebuild :)

If it wasn't for the rust I'd do what I did to my last XE, make it a rallye. :)

what's the rust like underneath and under the rear seats? if that rust is all that wrong with the shell, then it would make a good base.
