Which Clutch

hi guyes and gals, yet more trouble with the valver;(

seems like my release bearing has gone, i'v ordered a

standard 1.9 clutch kit but have now been told by a mate

who is pretty clued up on 205's that i need an mi16 clutch

please help as i dont want to buy the wrong one!

 

the car has the 2.0 16v xsara vts engine

with the 1.9 205 box.

Assuming you've retained the standard push-style clutch used on a 1.9 GTi gearbox, you'll need a 405/BX 1.9 Mi16 clutch.

 

The release bearing itself from a 1.9 8v would be the same, but the clutch itself is only 200mm vs 215mm for the Mi16 kit and thus won't fit.
