Pictures Of Black Gti

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

After a short brake I bought another GTI, this time is a 1991 , 1.9GTI, all black

I have to say that I was never a fan of Black GTI as the plastic trim is blending to much with the paint. I would like to see some nice Black 205s , maybe with good wheels and yellow spot lights just to get the idea which direction to go..

Any ideas ? Black wheels maybe ?

Yeah, you're right yellow lights are the one which I will go for. I'm not sure about the wheels, I think the car needs something noticable as now there is nothing you can catch your eye on :/ Silver SL434 or 16" Ouragan would looks good I think.

Another thing is the bumbers, all the trim is black and the bumpers looks grey'ish , is this is how it should be ?

That car is graphite grey btw, not black! The bumpers are supposed to be the same colour as the trim, but when ever I use a colour restorer on them they never seem to go as dark as the trim.

That's a great paint job ! Did you resprayed the plastic trim as well ? I have automatic bonnet ready to put in so that would defintely go on the car. Last picture looks very nice.

As far as I know there is only 1 black colour on 205 GTI, I really like your 205, silver trim goes very very well, also standard 15" wheels are doing the job. What suspention do you have ? Did you tint the windows?

suspension is avo shocks and eibach springs. The springs are good for the money. The windoes have a very slight tint, hardly noticable, its just the camera angle that makes the windows look dark. I don't think the car would suit black windows. I really like the standard wheels, wouldn't have anything else. What are you planning for your car?

Now, after seeing picture of your car the plan is bit clearer. I think I will go for refurb original wheels (or SL434 if I will find them ! ) , silver trim, automatic bonnet and I still didn't decide it yet yellow or normal spot lights...

Basicly I will keep the standard look as possible, with Leather, A/C, PowerSteering, ABS, Electric Windows and big sunroof it will be top of the range ! ;)

That all sounds pretty cool to me. I have Goodwood leather in mine which i love. I have an automatic bonnet in my garage but it s still in primer,I might get it done for summer. Do you have many friends with 205's over in Poland?

Yep on both counts, but during the mini rebuild/resto I'm doing on it I'm goign to be fitting the Goodwood leathers from my XS into it.

Black leather + Black GTI = Awesome!.
