205gti Springs On A Saxo

Recommended Posts

Will they fit. A friend of a friend is going to rally a saxo vts and is having little help from the local motor sport shop (PLR). If some one could point us in the right direction it would be a massive help,

What would you gain from doing this? I'd assume the saxo springs would be firmer as its a heavier car.

yup they'll fit fine if they're the standard diameter, the saxo doesn't weigh that much at all more, and from memory its quite common to use an Eibach 106/saxo pattern lowering spring on a 205.

take it your 180 LB springs are std diameter?

As welshpug says above they'll fit so youve nothing to lose giving it a go. The eibach 7001 springs i used to have were listed as 106 and 205 fitment. I dont remember seeing 106 gti's/vts's in the fitment list but certainly rallyes and diesel models were there.
