Recommended Posts

Im not 100% sure on this but when i went to Dorset auto spare's to track down one me and the bloke looked threw the mounts and the only one that looked like the one which i was after under the same name was about (going of memory) was about a inch wide and maybe inch long,

First question,

Is that the mount ?

Second question,

if it is is there meant to be a bush round it as the one on the car looks 10x bigger.

Im going to grab a picture in a bit of the mount, as i need clarification on what to get.

Pete

the one he picked out is part of it, it goes in the subframe end of the fork that links between the subframe and the main mounting bush.

that part is 1809 04. (£6.55 from a dealer)

looking at Servicebox I can see possibly why he can't find the bush, it is not listed as a separate item for the 205, only as a complete unit with the casting, now if you cross reference that complete casting to any other Peugot vehicle, you'll find its the same one on a Phase 2 Diesel 205, where the bush is listed as a separate part as well, so if you point your motor factor to that information he should be able to find it.

That is bush;

1809 16 FLEXIBLE BUSH.

and costs £11.63 from Peugeot directly, I would be inclined to go with the Dealer supplied part as they tend to be firmer and last a lot longer than the cheaper aftermarket supplied parts.

This is the lower rear engine mount, together with a new (TD) mount ready to go in.

Neither of them matches your description though :)

From that I would imagine the STDT to use a normal 205 XU/XUD bush, which is listed for many earlier Turbo diesel vehicles as well as the petrol ones.

Baz's "TD" mount is used on most later XU engines not just TD's. (£13.51 + vat)

^^Cheers WP, found the one Baz mentioned used on a DW engine Partner van, couldn't find it on many of the other models servicebox said it was on though.

Funny that, I always thought the 205 TD had the stiffer mount.

Cheers Baz for pointing it out. <_<
