steble 1 Posted March 7, 2010 Welcome to the forum, and really nice GTI dude, but... Please dont take this the wrong way, them wheels are absolute ring-piece (no offence like I said) no love for the wellers then on a seperate thread there's people that really like them
MerlinGTI 3 Posted March 7, 2010 Just my opinion, each to their own and all that Just think a nice fresh set of silver 1.9's/MO's/TH's would look really good against the blue paint work. Which I might add looks in great shape.
Jrod 7 Posted March 7, 2010 I'm undecided on the wellers. I'm personally not keen on painted trim, I'd make it all match the rear bumper.
maxi 36 1 Cars Posted March 7, 2010 (edited) Looks like a copy of my original Mi apart from I have those wheels on my range rover. http://www.205gtidrivers.com/cars.php?user=maxi1 Was done in early 2003. Maxi Edited March 7, 2010 by maxi

Which I might add looks in great shape. not so sure on 1.9's as the car is a 1.6 so i'd go for the pepperpots i'm thinking of going for something a bit more larey too maybe bright orange lol the strips would get painted to match
MerlinGTI 3 Posted March 7, 2010 Fluro green or yellow with matching strips body colour the 1/4 badges. Why no to the 1.9's on a 1.6? 1.9 wheels are a much nicer design IMO, and an 1" bigger.
Jrod 7 Posted March 7, 2010 Maybe its just te photos but back bumper looked black to me, either way black trim for the win.

maxi 36 1 Cars Posted March 8, 2010 This looks like another copy:- Item number: 140387731379 / Link That one is a direct copy and was built by a local lad in the next town from me. Only thing was, the SLA was a lot more powerful and he got the colour wrong. The SLA had a hell of a reputation in the south east and there were quite a few done to look just like it, none could ever cut the mustard though.
