806 Auto Turbo Diesel

Recommended Posts

foreigner

Due to my other half refusing to learn manual and too expensive auto td's on the market I got idea.

Pug 806

it uses 1.9 td engines , but no autobox, so what box would fit?

I know it's long shot.

I was considering HDI autobox from later model or 605

any ideas????

My grandad bought brand new in 1990 a white H reg Citroen BX diesel automatic, non turbo though. So they are out there, whether they will live with the torque of the TD I don't know.

The only 1.9td I know is the facelift Xantia with an electrickery controlled box. All the ZF autobox in th 1.9 diesels are non turbo because of the torque/power issues.

I'd say don't bother it will more trouble than its ever worth

Some Citroen XM Turbo's were auto's, so they should be able to handle the torque of a 1.9 td. They are also controlled by an ECU, so the wiring could be fun.

I don't know what you mean about too expensive auto td's though, BMW 525 tds, LR Disco's, Mitsi Shogun/Pajero are all a lot of vehicle for not much cash.

I've seen it too.

But if you know me my budget is much lower than that and I need 7 seater, that's why 806.

And I am sorry but I rather buy Skoda Estele than any BMW or Mercedes (matter of opinion)

you can get auto 806's but they are all 2.0 16v EW engines, prices seem to vary from 1500 to 3.5k.

807's were sold with a 2.0 HDi and an auto box, but you're looking at 5.5k+

basically she needs to learn manual, not drive, or stump up more cash.

I just found 605 auto TD 2.1 - I think it should fit in 806 or not?

It should be xud11 if I am not wrong so in theory it should fit.

Now question is - What sort of auto box is it , does it need fancy leectronics or it should be straight forward swap for manual box?
