lots of parcels have been turning up, many there's no point showing to be honest, just nuts and bolts, die's and taps, belts and pulleys and bla bla bla,

but he's a couple of bits,

the tow eye disappeared,

DSC06214.jpg

also a sleeve was made for the stainless one, so this will be welded on when we do the scuttle,

DSC06226.jpg

Also droplinks are completed, one has the sealing boots on as you can see, ill do the other tomoz.

DSC06232.jpg

and also got my self another oil catch tank, A H fabrication one at a very good price, got this for the two inlets, its a little scuffed, but ill get that out later on,

DSC06236.jpg

DSC06237.jpg

oh and pair of Peugeot oil filters,

So i ripped the dash out,

DSC06282.jpg

as this was needed, some welding was going to be done and i needed to remove the sound proofing so there was no scary fires, so popped that off and had a little cut and pull at the foam.

next with help from an amazing mate (woo in here) a hole was cut,

DSC06256.jpg

so filled this with a plate, a KA bonnet came in handy lol

DSC06259.jpg

DSC06261.jpg

then another panel was made, shaped and cut.

DSC06263.jpg

and of course welded into place, i think a test fit is in order

DSC06264.jpg

then with a little more work, and another fit.

DSC06270.jpg

DSC06269.jpg

DSC06271.jpg

so no horrible hole in the scuttle any more and water protection too, just needs a little bit more tidying up. Also the brackets for the LHD wipers have been fitted and welded into place.

Also a mount has been made for the toe ring, just need to weld it on.

Should beable to hang the car from a crane with this thing lol.

DSC06258.jpg

Erm what else,

ooo brought my self a 13 row Mocal oil cooler with thermostatic sandwich plate, could do with some new nice lines tho.

DSC06280.jpg

Innovate LC-1 wideband setup arrived too, with gauge.

DSC06273.jpg

and got myself a set of winter wheels lol, im ready for that snow now and ill be climbing mountains.

DSC06277.jpg

DSC06275.jpg

205 pepper pots wrapped in pretty much brand new Kuhmo Izen KW23's

oh also desided to rip the front end apart again lol, thats to follow in the next few days

plus ordered some flywheel bolts, the oil filter screw and some strut caps from peugeot

So walked outside and ripped the ABS out, thats good

DSC06291.jpg

Also the brake servo fell off aswell as the steering rack, so now theres nothing in the engine bay.

DSC06292.jpg

DSC06293.jpg

so what have i got ahead of me then, well lots of sanding down lol, a little more welding and then some more paint. Then when this is done its all down to getting this engine finished and sorting the brakes out.

also just when i thought the car was rust free a little hole was found, so after i investegated it looks like this.

DSC06298.jpg

so more welding to do :)

Think its about time i updated this,

So thanks again to Woo, the GIT is looking alot better,

first off the welding was all done, that nasty big hole now looks like this with a quick cover of spray.

DSC06306.jpg

thats much better and should be a little stronger lol.

also the Clio Stainless tow was finished off, the selve was welded on and a little touch up and it looked like this.

DSC06309.jpg

DSC06311.jpg

then the LHD wiper setup was finished off, the last bracket was welded on and a test fit was done.

DSC06304.jpg

DSC06305.jpg

then finally i woke up at 530am and turn on the compressor and stone chipped the lower half of the engine bay.

DSC06318.jpg

DSC06320.jpg

then after work a little more prep and some black was added.

DSC06321.jpg

Looks a million times better than the last time, and for a drive way job in my home made tent i've gotta to say its very good. Phone camra pictures dont really do the job, the only fault being a flat patch due to the cold weather i think, as it wasnt finished to late last night, oh yer a spider thats stuck in last, think ill have to buff him out

IMG_4210.jpg

IMG_4211.jpg

IMG_4215.jpg

Catcam 1321734 and Catcam S90015 single springs.

When they arrived there was a worring moment as the packaging and stamp on cams says 718, which is a puffy sport cam. But after a quick chat and measurement it turned out that they had been engraved and packaged incorrectly, so all is fine

Also some more orange arrived

IMG_4212.jpg

IMG_4213.jpg

And a prezzi from Sandy

SAM_0115.jpg

SAM_0114.jpg

One of his very nice custom looms, well two lol.

Its a work of art. May get some little juction things for where the wiring separates tho.

And lots of orange

SAM_0189.jpg

SAM_0199.jpg

SAM_0195.jpg

SAM_0194.jpg

SAM_0214.jpg

So thats the Wheels, Slam panel, bonnet struts, Bonnet hinges and coil pack cover all in lovely Ford electric (ST) orange.

Right the head has been built up, i stripped it all back down, cleaned and checked it.

SAM_0120.jpg

SAM_0121.jpg

SAM_0122.jpg

also heres the difference between the J4 (gti) and JP4 retainers.

SAM_0119.jpg

GTi ones are slightly larger, there on the right. So of course they was used with the Catcam springs.

Also CatCam springs compared to J4 (GTI)

IMG_4217-1.jpg

And then already to go back together

IMG_4222-1.jpg

IMG_4216-1.jpg

So with the thermostat housing and New thermostat fitted its done. So ive placed it on the block for the minute so we can once again have a table in the kitchen lol.

Also since the weather is great and snowy at the moment the cover on the car is going to be pulled through the big whole where the engine should be so ive fitted a bonnet again to stop this.

So on went the orange hinges

SAM_0217.jpg

SAM_0218.jpg

everything gone for balancing,,

DSCF0088.jpg

Well then,

I had the tyres fitted the other day just to get them out of the way really, so there now stacked in the corner of my room lol, also the new caps when on so thats another box gone,

DSCF0093.jpg

DSCF0095.jpg

But of course you clear stuff away and new always fills the space lol,

DSCF0100.jpg

DSCF0112.jpg

DSCF0104.jpg

My group A manifold arrived and i very please with it, wasnt sure if it was stainless or mild by the pics and it wasnt explained in the ad, but now its here i see its the more expensive stainless version

http://www.specialtuninguk.co.uk/aca..._Manifold.html

Best thing was i payed less than £300 for it :) , so less than a supersprint. These are £1025.12p new :D:o :o

So with a parcel from Stu the car went from this,

DSCF0093-1.jpg

with help from these

DSCF0094-1.jpg

to this

DSCF0095-1.jpg

Much better, both sides was knackered so both replaced.

Also these turned up today from Wob,

13122010018.jpg

Pair of alloy handles and silver tabs for the vents from the 2000> models. Just updates and just some final touchs on the interior i think.

Also brake lines ordered and now awaiting them, hopefully next week Hayley will be inside from the crap weather and i can add on the nice bits.

Ok then, some more parcels have turned up, a few are below.

First of a new lump of billet , what will it be???

IMG_4224.jpg

Also got all my 2000> interior bits in, handles and tabs.

So from this,

IMG_4225.jpg

to this

IMG_4227.jpg

Also some Stainless braid for the throttle cable

IMG_4229.jpg

Wilwood Bias valve

IMG_4228.jpg

Oh and some Honey Hoops

IMG_4230.jpg

but then i was slightly disappointed to find it was my complete braided brake line setup :/ All ends up rated to stainless.

IMG_4231.jpg

Hopefully soon i might actually be able to get all these bits on the car.

another parcel cam the other day :D and a cheap one.

IMG_4237.jpg

IMG_4234.jpg

A nice BE4 gearbox from a 2002 Picasso, Was £80 of Ebay but didnt have alot of info. So looked the dodgy pic up and down many times and crossed my fingers as i brought it, turned up today and as soon i pulled the packing off i was over the moon, fits spot on.

So to go with this i also have sat in the garage, a pair of 205 1.9 Gti hubs.

DSCF0087.jpg

These will be machined down to fit the 106 bearings.

Also have a nice rebuilt close ratio 205 1.6 GTi BE3 box, Near enough same ratios as a S2 rallye box, with a slightly longer 1st.

DSCF0089.jpg

So with a little messing these two will become one, and suit my N/A setup nicely with some extra strengh :D

Oh and also stripped the paint from the servo, and sprayed that up.

IMG_4238.jpg

thats all,
