Hi there everyone, thinking about retriming my 1.9 interior

 

I'm planing on doing the bolsters in black leather but getting anything close to the red and black material for the middle seats, isn't going to well, couldn't find much although i did find this

From the picture it looks quite close but I'm not sure.

 

Also given the vast amount of automotive materials out there I'm not sure whether to do something a bit different (nothing garish maybe solid black middle)

So i was wondering if anyone knows a better material or failing that does anyone know a nice black material. my mates mk4 golf's seats are a nice thick black material but can't find it anywhere.

 

any help much appreciated.

Alcantera centres look nice and would look like 405 Le Mans seats. Why not consider getting heated seats fitted whilst having them retrimmed too? This was an option on some 205s and might be a nice cheap feature

Thanks henry, I had thought about alcantera centers, A mate of mines 106 gti has them and they look good. Still not completely sold on the idea though. Are the 405's black or grey centers? (have search google put cant find any pics).

i have some of the black and red material from the ph2 seats if you want it. currently only have the full set of rear seat covers (from a 1.6, but material in the middle is the same) but in the summer i will also be removing the front seat covers.

Thanks but I've kind of got my heart set on black centers now the car is going to be black anyway so I'm thinking it might look a bit different but still look original...ish

Dont suppose anyone knows of a supplier for the ph1/1.5 half leather material do they? I would love to trim some reclining buckets in orginal style fabrics

 

I know the old school ford boys can get repro cloth, can we?

You could try Aldridge trimming in Wolverhampton area. They do alot of top class stuff and I have had a fair bit of work done with them this past couple of years. Expensive, but you get what you pay for imo . They did the seats in my dads escort with the original type material.

 

BAS international in wales is also worth a shout.

That dash was only on the T16's so you'll have a job getting one I reckon
