Rev Guage Failure

my rev guage has never worked in my stdt and im curious to see what revs im doing at what speed now that the 306 1.9 dt engine is in with a hdi box, is there a easy fix for this like adjusting/moving the flywheel pick up or will i have to get a new pick up sensor or dials.

When my rev counter failed it was the gauge itself, not the senders. I'd check that first.

Not that I know of, even the D turbo doesn't always have the rev counter afaik.

 

I'd suspect its the pick up wire / sensor which has died as they are very common & only about £15 for a replacement.

The rev counter worked in the 306 didn't it?

I think the clocks fubared, the 205 sensor had the same problems I think

i used the 205 pick up sensor as the 306 plug was different to the 205, where would a get a replaced sensor for, is it a peugeot dealer only part

Probably but I have a feeling GSF used to sell them but the price difference was minimal so I got mine from Pug.
