I made my own gear linkage incorparating rose joints and a short shifter about 4 years ago now :)

I should really take it off and give it a refurb with some new rod ends as it's had 4 years of hard use and road dirt bit it's still working fine and i don't have the money atm :D

Nice, looks good. Suppose that set up give you a real nice, precise gear change?

 

I'v looked into a quick shift but have been told it can screw up my box?

 

My rallye is only for road use and is my daily driver.

Short shifters can damage the syncros yes, however i have mine on a fairly low setting so it only shortens it up a tad to minamise any damage it may cause.
