Kms Map For Carbed 16v

Hi , i have a 2nd hand KMS here to install on the 205GT 16 and have a base map on disc albeit this is a Golf GTI base map so iam unsure if this will get the car running ?

 

Has anyone got a base map for the MI16 on carbs i can borrow to get it running or do i actually need one .....

carbs arent injection so cant be mapped so to speak.

 

do you mean throttle bodies?

I assume he means an ignition map - carbs handle the fuelling, but you still need something for ignition.

I'd have thought that if you change the base settings to Peugeot spec flywheel sensor etc, then the actual ignition map should be close enough to get you going. I've not messed with a KMS specifically though so can't really help any more than that.

Iam Kinda hope that will work Tom , its just the start of my winter jobs on the 205 and ive got all the bits here for the ignition set up , iam not the most experienced with mapping proceedures as this is the first one ive done albeit i will get it sorted with my basic knowledge of these set ups .

 

The rest of the jobs include spanners and guages , that bit no problem ....
