If you have one could you tell me the MA gearbox torque settings? or a scan of the relavent pages would be better :ph34r: the new type manuel decided its too complex for your home mech to take a gearbox to bits! :ph34r:

There isn't an MA guide in the book i have, (1989 Workshop manual) just BE and BH.

My 1993 copy has some in the appendix.

 

Gearbox housing to clutch/final drive housing = 10Nm (13 lb.ft)

Intermediate plate to clutch/final drive housing = 50Nm (37 lb.ft)

Pressed-steel housing = 10Nm (13 lb.ft)

Bearing half-rings = 10Nm (13 lb.ft)

Output shaft nut (MA5) = 140Nm (103 lb.ft)

Drain and filler plugs = 25Nm (19 lb.ft)

Gearbox to engine = 45Nm (33 lb.ft)

From my Haynes Gearbox Overhaul Manual (3473)

BE and MA gearbox

 

I have the same as Ryan exept that it says

 

Gearbox housing to clutch/final drive housing = 18Nm (13 lb.ft)

Pressed-steel housing = 18Nm (13 lb.ft)

Bearing half-rings = 18Nm (13 lb.ft)
