Drive Shaft Nut Size

Good evening all.

 

I have just swapped by 1.6 hubs for some 1.9 hubs so that I could fit my AP brakes, I bought some new shafts, but expected the nuts on the ends to be the same size. There not, as I am sure most people know, but my big problem is I need to get a socket and the nuts are on the car. I would appreciate it if some one would post the size of the sock required. It looks like it is 35mm. please confirm or correct.

im 95% sure its a 35mm!!

yup 35mm.. some are 32 mm...

 

this comes up all the time, ive come across so many dif sizes,

 

mine are 35mm

I search the forum before I posted, but came up with nothing. For information the 1.6 nuts I took off are 30mm. Seems a mad that there are so many different sizes, but never mind 35mm it is.

from the factory ALL 1.9s came with 35mm hubnuts.

 

 

but a lot have had recon driveshafts fitted at some point...
