Roll Cage Fitting

right ive bought a seconhand roll cage .i was wondering how thick do the mounting plates need to be do i weld the plates to the car then bolt through them .do i put the plates inside and outside the car sandwiching the floor between them .thanks for any help

3mm is ideal, you'd normally fit them inside, most are a box type but some are plates, depends which cage it is.

its a safety devices one 4 point but i cant find any pics of it any were.otherwise id stick some up and im going to be making the mounting plates .3mm it is then thanks

well i think thats what you call it it onlt has 4 mounting points .its just the rear part of the cage.so only goes in the back but has brackets to fasten the front parts to
