Zx Trailing Arms With Abs

Recommended Posts

Hello

Can you get / or do they come with zx trailing arms that have the holes for the abs sensors and the pickup ring on the hub? If so which models have this?

Cheers

Yes, ZX's with ABS, eg 16v, later volcanes.

Would it not just be the case of fitting backing plates off a 306 with abs to ZX arms as they are bolt on, along with new bearings....

That would be the other option hard work though.

Nice one both! I have a spare set of 6 arms so I will have a gander at them. At least I know there was a zx model with abs and I wont be hunting for something that does not exist.

I've had more ZX disk braked arms with ABS than without for what it's worth.

All (I believe) ZX 16v's had ABS, and many 2.0i Volcanes had it too. Less widely ticked option on 1.9i and TD Volcanes though from that I've seen.

Could always do as James suggested otherwise, and it's easy and straightforward enough to swap the hubs and caliper mounts over with an ABS 306 or Xsara beam, both of which are common and easy to get hold of.

Thanks Anthony, great reply. Its all in the pipe line yet but from the answers im getting it showing hope. I have a set of gti6 trailing arms so im going to take a gander at them this weekend. Out of interest are the abs and non abs the same arms and therefore have the same camber etc?

As far as I'm aware, they have the same geometry - 1.2 degrees camber and 0 degrees toe.
