Silky 33 1 Cars Posted September 23, 2009 Do they have a coloured tint to them or are they clear ? Mine has some cracks on it so needs replacing, just want to get it replaced with the correct colour
feb 47 Posted September 23, 2009 AFAIK the windscreen is clear, it is only the side windows having the 'bronze' tint? I could be wrong though... When I had mine replaced through insurance they asked whether it has a tint/green part at the top part of it, I should have said yes!
Silky 33 1 Cars Posted September 23, 2009 I take it you whould've said yes to compliment your Sorrento Feb ? Mine is Cherry so don't think Green will go
one-lady-owner 1 Posted September 23, 2009 I'm pretty sure mine has the bronze tint, if you open your side window and look at something through the open window, then the same thing through the windscreen the colour definitely changes!! My windscreen is definitely original, well at least it's OE, it's got the Peugeot/Talbot logos above the mirror!
welshpug 1,622 Posted September 23, 2009 bronze just like the rest of the windows, and if you buy it from Peugeot make sure you specify sunroof or not as they come with the seal, there is green listed too, though I've never seen a green tint on a 205. richsmells 2 Posted September 23, 2009 (edited) I'm sure they have a slight tint, but it may be down to 3rd party replacement quality etc. The windscreen in my gf's KA (spits) is noticeably "brighter" jumping out the 205 straight into hers. mogsman 2 Posted September 23, 2009 Definately bronze tinted. A clear screen just wouldn't look right. Specify if you have a sunroof as the seals are different to a non sunroof screen seal. Ian

M@tt 77 Posted September 23, 2009 sunroof model has a slight lip at the top of the screen seal so that if you have the sunroof open it directs the air up slightly over the sunroof opening so you don't get as much noise/wind blowing into the car/rear seat area
Silky 33 1 Cars Posted September 23, 2009 I have a sunroof. Would you suggest claiming on an insurance policy or buying one direct from Peugeot and getting it fitted ?
feb 47 Posted September 23, 2009 I have a sunroof. Would you suggest claiming on an insurance policy or buying one direct from Peugeot and getting it fitted ? Claim from insurance if you can! It cost me £60 3 years ago and you don't loose any bonus.
